Feedback on the Aftershokz Titanium headphones

The longest I have worn the headphones is around 6 hours. It took less than an hour to be fully charged and was still working at the end of the long year. The headphone designs allows it to be hooked around the earlobe and even though I wear glasses, it did not interfere with them.

The first thing I’d say is that it takes getting used to listening to audio while the ears are open. There is a natural tendency to pay attention to everything. For me, the transmission of the sound caught me unawares as to whether I was listening to the audio from the device (mostly the laptop) or, the headsets. I’ve listened to a small section of an audiobook; a couple of podcasts; used this during meetings and a bit of internet radio.

There is a distinct set of use cases where this is a good buy. Even when there’s a ceiling or, a pedestal fan running, these headsets and microphones are a good option for meetings/calls with both sides having a conversation. The headsets are not a good choice when the music/audio is mainly driven by bass. There is not enough in the headset to be able to give a rich audio experience for these cases.

I have no issues with the fit-and-finish of the headphones although, the unit which handles the power and plugs into the audio jack tends to dangle in a bit unwieldy manner. I also anticipate that the cables used are not really durable and will snap or, get badly twisted. This is a lightweight set of headphones which provide a different approach to handling audio. It may not be the best choice for everyone and so the entry level pricing is useful.
