A Means To Control Population Sectors

This article has been made to hash out different methods of control and ways throughout history these methods were implemented. For the first few methods we do not need to look further than our own shores.

Cult Of Personality, this method where only one man can be the savior is very powerful as we have seen over the past 6 years in America. This method works as a double edged sword as the followers will often not know they are a part of the cult. The other side to that is the fact that they will only cement and push the message further along. A Godlike Entity, this feeds off of the cult of personality in the sense that “I alone can fix it” that line of thinking was on clear display when the 45th president was running his candidacy. A tactic of taking all the world’s problems and giving the illusion that one person can bear the burden of it all. This can be very appealing to the civilian folk as it in their eyes takes the burned off of them. The feeling of elevating the problem for all. Now where methods from the new and old world split is when it comes to infrastructure. The vast creation of publicly used facilities helped leaders from the past gain support among their followers. One could give the former guy a little credit as his infrastructure project was the wall. His following loved the idea it was simply the red tape that held him from accomplishing this project. That being said with a more competent group leading the cult he could have succeeded garnering more support from followers and finished the “project”.

Now is where we get into more violent means of control. A couple that were used by the former guy. The first being the presence of Concentration camps. Call them what you want but putting kids in cages is egregious and was meant to strike fear into a certain class and race of people. This method was used on a much grander scale in the way of the camps in Europe and Russia during the first half of the 20th century. These camps were used to contain problematic people be that opposition figures, “Undesirables” and the sick. They are used to scare people into compliance and a very effective method if you can look past the human rights abuses. The use of secret police in the 1940’s and later in Russia was a very powerful means of control as it took problematic people off the streets and struck fear into the ones who remain. It was used in isolated cases around the country in 2020 during the riots in Portland Oregon. Using secret police allows the one pulling the strings to use a lot more brutality due to the ambiguity they can hide behind as no one can prove who the police force works for. This method is usually used in totalitarian and oppressive regimes. Very effective. Other methods of control include “feeding the echo-chamber” sowing seeds of doubt on validity of the legal system, the governmental system and playing victim when at all possible.
