The Color of Moving Forward

The color of the sky
A color that dipped into the water and became a bathtub’s hue,
The coldest of them all.
A color that emulated sadness and bitterness,
With an intensity that made it seem like a transparent veil,
A color that made me think of a lonely frozen lake,
With coldness that felt like it would kill,
The color of the sky’s lukewarm rain maintained the will to live on.
A bleak-looking color.
The saddest of them all.
A color that felt like it was trying to become the sky,
With a short withered life,
A color that made me think of a small, abandoned garden close to the sky.
A bleak-looking color.
The saddest of them all.
