Medway Vegan Festivals in Rochester 2018

The third edition of the Rochester Vegan Festival opened its door at 10 o’clock on November 25th at the Corn Exchange.

The entrance is £3 but everyone under 16 gets a free entry to the festival, where dozens of stands expose vegan products going from food to skincare, healthcare, clothes, etc.

Here is a live Twitter feed of the event:

The event was organised by Suzette, with the help of a few other people. She hopes to expand the demand for vegan food in Medway, “but if it were to happen, I’d need more help,” she said.

She is also the creator of Shea-Me and exposes her vegan products all over Europe. Last week, she was in Stockholm for a vegan festival.

When asked what he thinks about the festival, Daniel, 34, from Rochester, said: “It’s the perfect opportunity to try out vegan food and discover new things.”

“And the atmosphere here is really friendly. It’s just like we’re a bunch of friends meeting up for brunch,” he added.

The event closed its door at 4 o’clock and all visitors went back home carrying bags of vegan products, but also Christmas presents.
