Salesforce Einstein Analytics Spring 2020 New Release Feature Highlights

Some major upcoming features which sound exciting to me are as follows:

The maximum row limit for the Einstein Analytics Plus license has increased from 1 billion to 10 billion for all registered datasets.

You don’t need to do anything to take advantage of the expanded 10 billion-row data capacity in all registered datasets. Salesforce updates existing Einstein Analytics Plus license-holders with the new capability, and it’s automatically available to new customers.

New Limits for Microsoft Azure SQL Database and Netsuite Connectors

The connectors to Microsoft Azure SQL Database and Netsuite data sources have updated limits. The Microsoft Azure SQL Database can now sync up to 100 million rows or 50 GB per object, whichever limit it reaches first. The Netsuite connector can now sync up to 100,000 rows or 500 MB per object, whichever limit is first.

The Data Catalog app, free on AppExchange, helps you understand how data is interconnected and visualize the data lineage back to its source with a lineage graph. You use dashboards, lenses, and stories to make business decisions, but it can be challenging to find the source object or dataset to tweak a setting or update stale data. Now you can quickly investigate where your data comes from and what Analytics assets are associated with it. Check the below image from the salesforce site for more clarity around how this feature will look like.

To speed up data sync and only pull the data you need, you can now use data sync filters with connected objects from select remote connectors. Previously, you imported all data from a remote object and used a dataflow or recipe filter to limit the external data in a dataset. Now, you can exclude unnecessary or sensitive data from syncing to Analytics in the first place.

Click the Filter button appears at the top of the Preview Source Data page tool. from the Preview Source Data page when adding or modifying a connected remote object. Enter a filter using the connected data source’s syntax described in the remote connector’s help.

Use data sync filters with these connectors.

1. Salesforce External

2. Amazon RDS

3. Amazon Redshift

4. Google BigQuery

5. Heroku Postgres

6. Microsoft Azure SQL Data Warehouse

7. Microsoft Azure SQL Database

8. Snowflake Computing

Save More Dataflows

Strategically manage your dataset generation in Analytics with a greater number of dataflows. You can now save up to 100 dataflows, increased from 30. This increase frees you to split large dataflows to run more quickly, or to separate dataflows by the business requirement to schedule the dataflow when the data will be consumed.

Prepare for Automated Schedule Removals in Sandbox and Developer Edition Orgs, we may need to set up schedules again

Automatic schedule removal will speed up the remaining data sync, dataflow, and recipe jobs across all Salesforce customers. Your sandbox and developer edition org will now have their schedules for data sync, dataflow, and recipes removed 90 days after the last save. If you’re actively developing, your schedules won’t be removed. Set the schedule again anytime for further testing, training, or the joy of scheduling. All users subscribed to data sync, dataflow, or recipe notification will receive an email notifying them when a schedule is removed.

Bring Your Customer 360 Global Profile Data into Analytics

With the Customer 360 Global Profile Data connector, you can use this profile with other Salesforce and remote data for analysis in Einstein Analytics. Before you can use this connector, connect a Salesforce org with Einstein Analytics as a data source in Customer 360 Data Manager. Create and load a data file from your connected data source into Customer 360 Data Manager for processing into global profiles. Then push the global profile data to Einstein Analytics. After you complete the Customer 360 Data Manager setup, you can enable this connector on the Analytics Settings Setup page by selecting the Create dashboards from Customer 360 Data Manager global profile data checkbox. This setting provides access to Customer 360 data for additional analysis by data architects, cross-cloud admins, and others. Create the connection with Customer 360 Global Profile Data connector on the Connect tab of the data manager.

New Connector Sync Limits for FIPS 140–2 Validated Encryption Orgs

When using Einstein Analytics remote connectors, Salesforce Government Cloud org data is protected in transit with FIPS 140–2 validated encryption. Due to the enhanced encryption, connectors used in Salesforce Government cloud orgs can sync up to 10 million rows or 5 GB for each connected object, whichever limit is reached first. The exception is the Netsuite connector, which can sync up to 100,000 rows or 500 MB per object, whichever limit is reached first.

New connectors will be available to connect to Your Data in SugarCRM, Zendesk, Teradata, Google Cloud Storage, SAP SuccessFactors, and Zuora [Pilot]

Pull your cloud-based data via CloudHub into Analytics without code using Analytics Mulesoft connectors for Einstein Analytics. Analytics Mulesoft connectors are available to connect Microsoft SQL Server on AWS RDS, MySQL on AWS RDS, and Oracle on AWS RDS.

Bring your large volumes of Google BigQuery data with standard SQL support into Analytics using the new Google BigQuery Standard SQL connector. This connector supports standard SQL, the newest BigQuery standard, which provides improved composability using WITH clauses and SQL functions, correlated subqueries, and more. If you’re using legacy SQL, use the Google BigQuery connector.

Sync contacts data from Marketing Cloud to Analytics with a tenant-specific endpoint and OAuth 2.0 authentication using the new Salesforce Marketing Cloud Contacts OAuth 2.0 Connector. Create connections with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Contacts OAuth 2.0 Connector on the Connect tab of the data manager.

All the above information is from salesforce release notes.
